Une belle sortie qui se résumerait ainsi: magique, bucolique, mythique!
On oublie la fatigue et les courbatures et on se réjouit de renouveler cette sortie!
In order to start well January, two friends of mine joined us for a small "expedition" in our mountains, in the region of "La Planiaz". The hike up was supposed to last about 1h30, but I did not expect so much fresh snow to have fallen recently... We started the hike at 20h00... but only arrived at the shelter after 23h.
The way up was really difficult, the dogs did a great job but had also some trouble getting the sledge up! The wood we were carrying was really heavy and our sledge was getting stuck in the deep fresh powder, but we did it! It was difficult but the nature around us was amazingly beautiful under the full moon and all the stars shining in the sky! Once we got at the shelter which was almost fully covered by the snow, we really enjoyed the fire we made, the meat, soup and chocolate cake!
The dogs who worked so hard were quickly closing their eyes... except my greenland dog Nukka who was ready again for another round!
After our (freezing) night, we left for the way down. LOTS of fresh powder again! Our grand-pa Ootek was to tired to pull with the other dogs so we got him loose from the neckline for the rest of the way down.
This outing was really amazing, although it was tough getting there and back, the nature truly gifted us with its beauty! We can't wait to go for another time!
